Conflicted

Here I am, enjoying posting at Ponydom, as that is of course what I love to do. I love to post. Give me a Forum where there is plenty of opportunities to post, and that makes me VERY happy.

BUT, I'm from Bronyville, and Bronyville has gone completely empty. It's almost as though I can hear an echo of emptiness when I'm there. I do feel guilty, as Bronyville is my natural brony home. I mean it's OK to make the odd post at other pony Forums, but when one is making more posts in the other Forums than at Bronyville, then I start to feel guilty. Am I taking posts away from Bronyville?

I had such a shock yesterday. I had not posted here at Ponydom for a week, and when I started posting here yesterday could not believe all the people of Bronyville making bulk numbers of posts here. Like all of them are making more posts here than at Bronyville.. Just the reverse from as much as a month ago or more. Making the odd post at Ponydom and bulk of posts at Bronyville. I don't see a conspiracy at work here, but it does look like an involuntarily reverse takeover of a kind. A disaster for Bronyville for sure.

I've always admired Ponydom. I remember when I rejoined Bronyville in March, and had to work through four months of posts, that was the first time when I noticed Goku's Website. His forum was just about empty then but I just loved the design of it. Everything was also immaculately organized, ZERO clutter, just the way I liked it. But it had looked as though it was going under and there was also a post that said that it was in need for funding or something. I think I tried to join then, but somehow my IP had been in conflict with the registration system, so I left it. Then in June, just after I'd resigned as Mod at Bronyville I finally joined, thanks to Ininsaki who supported me and Goku who then did the registration himself, as my IP had still been in conflict.

I think Ponydom is a great Forum and I enjoy posting here. Still, I have these nagging guilty feelings about abandoning a place that has provided lots of fun and laughter for a very long time. As well as a loyalty to Ocalhoun and just seeing his Forum going completely quiet, like the one light going off after the other. Probably nice to have it quiet at Bronyville to a certain extent, but it's like a deafening kind of quiet for me right now. Just really hurts me to see it.

I share the notion. However, it's something out of our hands. I just try to remember all good things at their best. Perhaps remembering the good times is an easier way to go?

I just have one thing to say, Tatius:
/bronyville/ is dead. Everyone posts here because everything is in better control, as well as that at least one mod is online all the time here, as opposed to once or twice a month, like it was there. Some of the old members there had flocked their way to BronyVerse as well.

I feel that the reason that everyone left is because of how the moderation kept reacting to me. To me it felt as though I was in hot water 24/7 there. I feel a lot better now that I left there, and I get the same statement from others who PM me on BronyVerse (their names confidential for the sake of privacy).

Sorry, but I believe that you're feeling guilty for nothing.

I'm active on more than 10 forums so you're not taking anything away if you post elsewhere. If there's nothing happening, there's nothing happening.

I believe it would be much appreciated if I did not share the entirety of my true feelings on the subject, but I do agree with you 100%. Yes, Bronyville is becoming quite dead but I don't blame the site, the administrators, skype, or the moderators. A few bad eggs killed it and wrecked it for the rest of us. You have nothing to feel bad over. If anything, feel glad you haven't been like everyone else and leave to go to a new place with the same people in it. That's like taking all the BS from one room and movng it to the next. Same people = Same problems no matter where they are.

I knew I shouldn't have mentioned this place when ragging on Ini xD.
When I first came here, Ponydom was DEAD. Logged on, half a page of new posts (all just one or two new posts in the different threads), read through them, came back the next day, another half a page of new posts.

Now it's maybe 3 pages of new posts with some of those threads having gotten 5-10 pages of new replies within a day *cough* ask Saucy Luna anything *cough* you *HACKING COUGH* pervs .

TBH with you, If you wanna know why I'm not on Bronyville too much atm, it's because of the new "admin". 50 year old non brony, oh yeah, he's gonna be banning people indiscriminately. Even if he's not, I don't wanna post too much to draw attention to myself and get banned or anything .

Don't worry too much about Bronyville, it seems everyone will eventually just migrate here anyways.
